Karins and Associates is a client-focused firm that goes beyond traditional design and planning. For more than 45 years, Karins has been successfully delivering projects in both the public and private realm throughout the MidAtlantic region.

We listen carefully to our client’s needs to generate the most innovative solutions for them. Our goal is to cultivate life-long business relationships, not one-time connections.

Early on, Uldis Karins, a Latvian immigrant with a degree in civil engineering, began his career in Delaware and started the company with just two employees. Over time, we expanded and grew our practice and in 2016 acquired Momenee, Inc., an engineering and surveying firm in Bryn Mawr, PA. This acquisition provided Karins with a natural platform for expansion of our services as well as geographic growth.

Karins and Associates offers services including subdivision/land development, surveying and 3D laser scanning, stormwater management/water resources, utility planning and engineering, transportation, certified construction review, and construction permitting.

Our Vision Statement “Better Communities Through Better Engineering” is a guiding principal. We are dedicated to our communities and our region through the volunteer efforts of our staff and our involvement and leadership in industry organizations.  Our success results from valuable returning clients, strong fiscal management and oversight, and comprehensive project management.

As a leading engineering and surveying firm in the Delaware, Southeastern Pennsylvania and northern Maryland market areas, we work with an exclusive assortment of private entities, municipalities and governmental agencies in the region. The firm employs more than 50 people and is headquartered in Newark, DE, with offices in Georgetown, DE; Bryn Mawr and Exton, PA; and Edgewood, MD.
